WASHINGTON –

President Donald Trump on Thursday questioned Iran’s deliberate shooting down of a US military drone, claiming the attack was “fake”.

Although the president’s comments today suggested he wants to ease tensions with Iran, Trump added: “This country [the US] will not tolerate this.”.

Tehran said that the Global Hawk observation drone carried out an espionage mission in Iran, but Washington claims that the drone was shot down in international airspace.
